Exclusive: How Ninjas Made it Snow in FarmVille 2

FarmVille 2 is Zynga's most successful launch in the past two years. Set to arrive on mobile later this year, current players got a little surprise this winter when it snowed on their virtual farms.

Perfect for growing winter crops, the fun feature lets you have virtual snowball fights with your friends when they stop by, and shows your farmer making snow angels when left idle too long. The feature, which initially ran for a few weeks before the holidays, was brought back shortly after its retirement.

While the snow may seem like something that Zynga planned for the game all along, the popular feature almost didnt happen.
