Post Sandy, Watch Out for Flood Damaged Used Cars

Car buyers beware: Used cars damaged by Hurricane Sandy may soon be coming to a dealership near you.

Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast one month ago this Thursday. As East Coast communities rebuild after the hurricane, consumers across the country need to be wary of unknowingly buying a flood-damaged used car.

"If you know what you're buying it may not be a bad purchase, but the unpredictability of water can make these vehicles some of the most dangerous on the road," Chris Basso, public relations manager for Carfax, tells Mashable.
