With viewers in the 20 millions, Shark Week made serious social waves over the past week. Each summer, the Discovery Channel dedicates a week's worth of programming to the infamous predator. This year marked the 25th anniversary of the televised event, which meant shark fans were not only glued to to the TV, but also to social media conversations.
