This Device Lets You Shoot Video of Yourself by Yourself




Ever wish there was a way to automatically film yourself without having to ask for help? Three Texas-based engineers have developed a new device called the SOLOSHOT, which automatically shoots and follows subjects from a distance without the need for a camera operator.

Here's how it works. The SOLOSHOT base pairs with an armband sensor worn on the subject. Once the two are synched, the base will automatically rotate to keep the camera continually pointed at the subject. The pair can stay synched for distances up to 2000 feet and the base will track a target moving as fast as 140 mph. The SOLOSHOT can rotate 360 degrees and will fit onto cameras…
