HBO Puts The Newsroom Pilot Online for Free

HBO is making the pilot episode of Aaron Sorkin's new television show The Newsroom available to non-subscribers for free on multiple platforms.

The drama, which debuted last night, is available online via to give non-subscribers a taste of the program. Users can watch the pilot on YouTube, DailyMotion. TV.com and on many cable operator's On Demand platforms. The program is also available as a free podcast on iTunes. HBO will make the pilot available until July 23, 2012.

Starring Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer and Sam Waterston, the show is about the making of a nightly cable news program in the modern -- and changing -- news climate.
