Elon Musk buys 9.2% stake in Twitter

Not long after complaining about Twitter censorship and musing about starting a competitor, it emerges that billionaire Elon Musk has bought a 9.2% stake in the company. The shares were worth $2.89bn when acquired but are worth more now.

Musk, 50, polled his more than 80 million followers on Twitter last month, asking them whether the company adheres to the principles of free speech.
