Samsung's latest batch of cheap Galaxy phones could make 5G more affordable
If you're in need of a cheap (and we mean cheap) Android phone from a big-name brand, look no further than Samsung's newest Galaxy offerings.
Samsung announced on Wednesday that a handful of its budget "A" series Galaxy phones would begin to arrive stateside in April and continue to roll out through the summer.
The cheapest of them is the Galaxy A01, which will launch April 9 for $109.99. For the price, you get a 5.7-inch screen, a 3,000mAh battery, and 5MP front and 13MP rear cameras.
Joining the A01's Thursday launch is the Galaxy A51, which retails for $399.99. Pay more and get more, as the A51 comes with a 6.5-inch screen, a 48MP main camera lens, a 4,000mAh battery, and 128GB of expandable storage. The really exciting news here is that for an extra $100, the A51 will be available as a 5G variant. There aren't a ton of 5G phones for less than $1,000 right now, so anyone looking to hop on the bandwagon could do it on the relative cheap with the A51 5G. Read more...
