Fear on saving

When I'm typing a comment on the net that's getting lengthy, I usually copy and paste the WIP somewhere just incase (when I don't decide to write it an external editor) one of those things happens, like Chromium spontaneously crashes or I hover my palm on the trackpad by accident and everything explodes.

The strange thing is that I experience a brief spike of terror as I hit Ctrl-C, that usually makes me shiver. I guess hitting Ctrl-C is sort of symbolically linked with past memories of losing work?
