U.S. carriers want you to buy the LG G6 so badly, they're giving out free TVs

There's a lot to like about the LG G6. After trying out the whole modular phone thing with the G5 last year, LG's returned this year with a more practical premium phone that fits a 5.7-inch display into a phone body normally designed for a 5.2-inch screen. 

In many ways, the LG G6 is a look at what's to come for all premium phones: big screens with super slim bezels that fill up most of the front of the phone.

For guys like Apple and Samsung, such a phone wouldn't be a hard sell. But for LG, who's seen its phone sales plummet over the years, it's a uphill battle. What's a struggling phone maker to do to drum up interest? Apparently, the answer is to hand out freebies like TVs and Google Home. Read more...
