Prosthetic talks to the brain, restores touch in man's hand

Igor Spetic is one of the first amputees to regain feeling in his hand through a prosthetic. After volunteering to work with Dustin J. Tyler, a researcher in human-machine interaction, the experimental haptic bionic hand has helped him feel the sense of touch again. 

The technology uses electrodes in Igor's arm to tap into his nervous system, which interprets impulses as if they were from his real hand. Read more...
