Microsoft is bringing Windows Holographic to all Windows 10 PCs

The software that powers Microsoft's HoloLens will soon be able to run on any Windows 10 PC. 

An upcoming update will allow Windows 10 PCs to run the Windows Holographic shell and the augmented reality versions of Universal Windows apps, Microsoft's Terry Myerson announced during an appearance at Intel's Developer Forum in San Francisco Tuesday.

This means that anyone with a Windows 10 PC will be able to take advantage of the holographic versions of Windows apps from their PCs. The update will be compatible with Microsoft's HoloLens and Intel's newly announced Project Alloy, its standalone VR headset coming in 2017. Read more...
