Google makes phone calls free to France in the aftermath of Nice attacks

Google has announced that it will make calls to France free in the wake of the Nice attack. 

Users will be able to dial into France without charge via Hangouts, Google Voice and Project Fi from anywhere in the world these services are supported, as announced by the company on Thursday evening.

Google posted a statement online that said: "To all those affected by the attack in Nice, you’re in our thoughts."

In addition to the free calls, the company  also published a Google Now card which will provide critical information to those in the Nice area. It will be updated with information from French authorities once they come to hand. Read more...
