This Alfa Romeo police car was built to quickly transport organs, blood

Just because a car needs to go fast doesn't mean it can't also travel in style.

Alfa Romeo presented two special editions of its new Giulia Quadrifoglio high-performance sports sedan to the Italian national military police, the Carabinieri, on Monday morning.

Alfa created the cars to serve as special operations vehicles. Specifically, they'll be deployed when the police need to do something fast, like transporting organs and blood.

On the slightly less exciting side, but nonetheless significant, the cars will be employed for escort services at institutional ceremonies. Read more...
