Drone lands on moving car like it's no big deal

Drones can fly thousands of feet in the air or a foot off the ground. They can fly autonomously, avoiding obstacles and some can even follow you and take awesome selfies. But we've never seen a drone make an autonomous and perfect landing on a moving car. Until now.

Researchers at the German Aerospace Center recently demonstrated a car-sized, electric drone finding a test vehicle traveling at roughly 46 mph, matching its speed and then landing gently on the roof.

This is more than just a stunt. The ability is intended for solar-powered drones that can fly for weeks at a time and that could deliver payloads to areas in need at any timeWith ability to land on moving vehicles, the drones could drop needed equipment with pinpoint accuracy and that equipment could then be carried to locations where the drone can't go.
