China denies claim it hacked Australian Bureau of Meteorology

China has denied it is responsible for an attack on Australia's Bureau of Meteorology, calling the report by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) "groundless."

On Wednesday, the ABC reported the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) was the target of a "massive" cyber attack, citing multiple official sources, which would have compromised sensitive government systems. It also claimed it will cost "hundreds of millions of dollars" to fix the breach.

The report said one official pointed the finger directly at China. "It's China," the source reportedly said.
