Apple stores turn logos red in honor of World AIDS Day

Glasgow-wad

If you walk past one of a few key Apple stores on Tuesday, you might notice a change in its minimal white logo.

The company continued its tradition of turning its store's logos red in recognition of World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. An estimated 35 million people worldwide are living with HIV, the viral infection that can lead to AIDS, according to the World Health Organization.

About 100 stores worldwide are getting the red treatment for one day to promote awareness, including stores in Sydney, Beijing, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Istanbul, Rio de Janeiro, New York and Los Angeles.
