Oxford Dictionaries picks an emoji for its 2015 Word of the Year
No, the Oxford Dictionary Word of the Year for 2015 isn't "emoji." Instead, it's literally an emoji
Oxford Dictionaries announced Monday that its Word of the Year for 2015 is the "Face With Tears of Joy" emoji, in a post on its blog. Face With Tears of Joy is the most used emoji globally of 2015, hence its pick by Oxford Dictionaries.
In addition to its blog post, Oxford Dictionaries tweeted out the announcement from its verified account, confirming fears of the announcement's truth.
