Hands on with the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Maxx 2

Motorola and Verizon's relationship remains strong. So strong in fact, Motorola continues to design exclusive Droid-branded Android phones for America's largest wireless carrier.

We've had 24 hours with the newly announced Droid Turbo 2 and Maxx 2, and though we dislike carrier-exclusive phones (it's 2015, contracts are dead, and unlocked phones are more common than ever), we think Motorola focused on the right features people want, instead of simply piling on the specs.

The Droid Turbo 2 is the more interesting of the two phones, not only because it has a higher resolution QuadHD (2,560 x 1,440) resolution display and a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3GB of RAM, and higher capacity storage options, but because its screen is "shatterproof."
