Gilt will let you shop for clothes on your Apple TV

Apple is making it easier to shop from the comfort of your couch.

Michelle Peluso, the CEO of Gilt Groupe, took to the stage at Apple's event on Wednesday to show off the company's new shopping app, which is accessible via Apple TV.

Peluso showed how Apple TV users can now easily shop for Gilt clothing on Apple's television device with a simple click of the remote

Details regarding how it all works were scant, but Gilt displayed an iTunes-like carousel of clothing options, including sizes and pricing.

When you first fire up the Gilt section on Apple TV, the main screen of the app shows a "today's featured sale" suggestion, framed by a number of other shopping suggestions.
