'Star Wars' is getting an X-Wing emoji on Twitter

The new Star Wars movie doesn't hit theaters until December, but the Disney hype machine is working in full — wait for it — force.

Adding fuel to the fire is an X-Wing emoji Disney unveiled Wednesday as it begins an 18-hour YouTube event, during which all the new Star Wars toys will be unboxed by popular personalities. To activate the emoji, just tweet a specific Star Wars hashtag starting at 5:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday — #ForceFriday, #Resistance, #XWing, #StarWarsXWing, #PoeDameron, #PoesXWing, #OscarIsaac or #Jakku — and the X-Wing emoji will appear to your heart's content.
