Meerkat is about to let you live stream video from your GoPro

Live streams on Meerkat are about to get a lot more exciting.

GoPro owners will soon be able to live stream video from their action cameras directly to the live streaming app, Meerkat announced Thursday.

Meerkat's update will support live streaming from GoPro's Hero 3 and Hero 4 cameras, according to a CNBC report.

In a teaser video posted to Twitter Thursday, the live streaming app showed off the upcoming feature, which will be compatible with Meerkat's iOS app.
