Spotify Taste Rewind thinks it knows what you would have jammed to in the '60s

Spotify thinks it knows which songs you'll like, even if they were recorded decades before you were born

The streaming service announced Taste Rewind on Monday, a standalone website that plugs into your Spotify account, offers up tunes from different decades, and customizes playlists based on three artists you choose from a list that may include Bruno Mars, Maroon 5, and Disney composer Alan Menken, among others. Once you've made your choices, you are shuttled to a "Now Playing" screen, where you can toggle between tracks recorded from different decades. In my case, the site showed me a Now Playing screen that kicked off with an awesome remix of Britney Spears' Womanizer. When I switched to music from the 1990s, Spotify kicked things off with the less popular Backstreet Boys track Darlin'.
