60 years after its historic victory, Ford will return to Le Mans

In 1966, Ford defeated Ferrari in an epic battle at a 24-hour car race held annually in Le Mans, France.

But this year, ahead of 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend, Ford announced on Friday it will finally put its wheels back in the race in 2016.

Ford held a press conference to unveil its GT race car, which is set to race in the Gran Turismo Endurance Pro (GTE Pro) class at the 2016 Le Mans race. This racer is based on the stunning road-going GT that broke the car lovers' Internet when Ford unveiled it at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
