Skype fixes bug that caused 8 characters to crash the app

Just last week, we learned about an iOS bug that rendered the iPhone's Messages app unusable after a certain string of characters was sent via text message. Now, a similar bug is plaguing Skype.

Sending and receiving a Skype message containing a specific string of eight text characters will crash Skype on older Windows versions as well as Android and iOS, but the latest version of the app fixes it on all platforms. Skype for Mac does not seem to be affected by the bug
