This Robot Will Crush You at 'Flappy Bird'

If you are still trying to get the high score on mobile sensation Flappy Bird, here's your signal to finally try something new: you'll never beat this robot.

Liu Yang and Shi Xuekun of China have developed a robot prototype that can play Flappy Bird surprisingly well. The robot uses a webcam to detect the pipes on the screen, and an Arduino board to control an arm that taps the screen with a touch pen.

On their blog Cloud Tea Studio, Yang and Xuekun detail the process of creating the robot, which only took them four days. They are working on perfecting the robot now to make it even more accurate. Read more...
