Rdio Is Out of the Vdio Business

Rdio is out of the Vdio industry.

The music streaming service has announced that it has shut down its video-on-demand start up that is less than a year old.

"Despite our efforts, we were not able to deliver the differentiated customer experience we had hoped for," the company said in a statement posted on Vdio's website. "We want to thank all customers who have tried our service, and we have given gift cards to all those who have purchased content or have unused rental content."

The company added that it would be refunding any purchases and had stopped accepting transactions as of Friday. It is also offering Amazon gift cards for any purchases or rentals that have not expired. Read more...
