Golf Channel Takes a Mulligan on 'I Have a Dream' Tweet

Martin Luther King Jr. made history on Aug. 28, 1963, with his rousing "I Have a Dream" speech. Fifty years later, the Golf Channel fell into the sand trap of trying to join the conversation commemorating the event.

In a tweet that has since been deleted, The Golf Channel tried to prompt its followers to tweet their own "golf" dreams to honor the occasion:

Instead, it received a bunch of critical responses from Twitter users:
