Sunglasses are more important to a celebrity's wardrobe than one might imagine. In some cases, eyeglasses — whether flashy or subtle — can become a part of one's persona.

Italy-based multimedia designer Federico Mauro created "Famous Eyeglasses," a series of minimalist photos that pay homage to classic eyewear worn by well-known celebrities and fictional characters.

The collection includes glasses from Elvis Presley, Aubrey Hepburn, Elton John and more. Shades from celebrated movie characters like Django, Harry Potter and The Matrix's Morpheus are also highlighted in the collection. Read more...
