Google Lets You Climb Mount Fuji With Street View

Want to climb to the top of Japan's tallest mountain without leaving your desk chair? Google sends you on a virtual vacation with new Street View imagery of Mount Fuji, providing a glimpse into how trekkers make their way up the rocky terrain.

Mount Fuji — which was named an official World Heritage Site by UNESCO in June — is expected to lure a record number of climbers to the mountain this year. To help prepare those climbers and expand its growing collection of panaromic imagery, Google sent its Street View Trekker equipment on the back of a team member climbing Mount Fuji, which soars 12,389 feet in the sky
