'I Am Malala' Music Video Celebrates Global Education

Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani blogger who drew global attention after the Taliban shot her in the head for advocating girls' education, is celebrating her 16th birthday a little differently than most teenagers this year.

Less than a year since the attack, Yousafzai gave her first high-level speech at a special United Nations general assembly on Friday, which the U.N. has designated Malala Day. The first annual commemoration on July 12 represents the goal of education for all children.

To celebrate the occasion, advocates around the world are raising awareness, while channeling Yousafzai's strength and courage. Her father joined efforts with a Grammy Award-winning producer for the music video above, which shows three young, undiscovered artists and more than 30 choir singers from around the world.
