NYPD Posts Video of Recently Discovered 911 Plane Wreckage

The New York Police Department posted footage on Monday which shows airplane wreckage discovered last week and is believed to have come from one of the two airliners which struck the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001

Boeing, which manufactured the two 767 aircraft used in the New York City attacks, confirmed to the NYPD that the wreckage is a "trailing edge flap actuation support structure." However, Boeing could not yet say exactly which aircraft the parts originated from.

The NYPD is still working to determine if any human remains are left at the site. There were 246 people aboard the two planes who were killed upon impact. Another 2,606 tower workers, first responders and bystanders lost their lives in the following hours. Read more...
