Father of Teen Suicide Victim Issues Emotional Plea

The father of the teen who committed suicide after a photo of her alleged rape went viral says he can't understand how there can be a digital trail of a crime and the police do nothing

Writing on his website, Glen Canning, Rehtaeh Parsons’ father, said his daughter was "disappointed to death" in the handling of her rape case and the lack of support from her school. In his letter he criticizes the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for doing nothing with the the photo the alleged rapists took and bragged about online

"How is it possible for someone to leave a digital trail like that yet the RCMP don’t have evidence of a crime? What were they looking for if photos and bragging weren’t enough?" he wrote. Read more...
