Samsung's JK Shin Pans Windows Phone Sales

When it comes to mobile platforms, we like to think it's a topic the CEO of one of the world's largest smartphone makers knows a thing or two about. And, unfortunately for Microsoft, in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal one of the three Samsung CEOs, JK Shin, has put it rather bluntly: "Smartphones and tablets based on Microsoft's Windows operating system aren't selling very well."

"There is a preference in the market for Android. In Europe, we're also seeing lackluster demand for Windows-based products," added Shin, twisting the knife some more

The numbers don't lie though. Microsoft's market share in the U.S. has been lingering around 3% for a while, with no sign of recovery. On the other hand, Samsung's Android business is booming
