Adobe to Stop Selling Boxed Copies of Creative Suite

8042b1e7

Vanishing are the days when software can be purchased in shrink-wrapped boxes. Adobe has confirmed to several publications that it will no longer sell packaged copies of its Creative Suite and Acrobat software in stores.

"As Adobe continues to focus on delivering world-class innovation through Creative Cloud and digital fulfillment, we will be phasing out shrink-wrapped, boxed versions of Creative Suite and Acrobat products," an Adobe spokesperson told TechHive. Retailers told the technology blog that May 1 is the cut-off date for sales of packaged copies.

Adobe did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
