Doctor Who Discovers a New Dimension: 3D

The British sci-fi show Doctor Who will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with a 3D episode, the BBC has announced.

The exact timing of the episode hasn't been set, although the formal anniversary date is in November. The show returns to finish its seventh season in the spring. An eighth season appear to be on hold until plans for the 50th anniversary are final.

It's about time," Steven Moffat, Doctor Who's current showrunner, said in a statement. "Technology has finally caught up with Doctor Who, and your television is now bigger on the inside. A whole new dimension of adventure for the Doctor to explore."
