Tumblr unveiled its native app for the iPad on Wednesday, just two days after the blogging platform updated its Android app to support tablets.

Version 3.2.3 of the iOS app is now compatible with both the iPad and iPad mini, and features markdown support as well as a new "Explore" tab. Bloggers can also access a sidebar navigation menu and a circular menu for composing posts.

Like its iPhone counterpart, the long-awaited iPad app lets users manage all their blogs, view and reply to messages, access the camera by swiping the compose button up, and share photos, videos, links and text.
