Hands-On Learning in School Just Got Very Real


Here's a surefire way to get tech-obsessed middle school students interested in learning again. Bring an over-sized iPad into the classroom, and fill it with games and apps based on the school's curriculum. Then, let them loose.

The over-sized iPad is actually a table called an Activ Table made by education company Promethean. It uses Microsoft Surface technology which lets kids interact with touch, gestures and movement. It also allows collaboration so up to six kids can work together at one time.
