Gmail Gets Support for Cherokee, Raises Language Count to 57
Gmail is now available in 57 languages, and one of them is Cherokee, the only Southern Iroquoian language that's still spoken.
While very few people speak Cherokee today, the update helps preserve the language, and encourages native speakers to use it in their everyday communication.
To make this even easier, Google has added a Cherokee virtual keyboard to Gmail, just like it did with Google Web Search, which has supported Cherokee since last March.
