Canadian Copyright Reform Takes Effect

Michael Geist summarizesthe changes, which include expanded fair dealing, new protection forcreators of user generated content, consumer exceptions such as timeshifting, format shifting, and backup copies, and a cap on liabilityfor non-commercial infringement."
