JVCs New 55-Inch 3DTV Looks as Good as it Sounds

As TVs get slimmer, consumers often purchase soundbars to enhance the sound quality, especially when they don't want wires hanging around and there's no extra space for speakers. But now, electronics manufacturer JVC unveiled a 55-inch inch 3D HDTV that promises sound quality so good there's no need for additional audio enhancements.

JVC's BlackSapphire 3DTV will retail for $1,299 and boasts 45 watts of speaker output power, a built-in woofer to pick up low-frequency sounds and what the company is calling XinemaSound, an acoustic technology that creates surround sound without the need of additional speakers.
