Spot the Shuttle: Endeavor Makes its Final Flight [PICS]

Space Shuttle Endeavor left Edwards Air Force Basic at 8:17 a.m. Friday for the final leg of its cross-country flight. Safely perched atop NASA's 747 Shuttle Carrier aircraft, Endeavor will fly over northern California and Los Angeles during its four-and-a-half hour ride.

Part of Endeavor's journey includes several low-level flyovers, starting in Palmdale, Lancaster, Rosamond, California City and Mojave before heading north to Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Twitter users in Texas and on the West Coast played #spottheshuttle, snapping great photos of the Endeavor and its 747 caretaker as they passed overhead.
