New York Times Tweet Declares NBA Dead
With a bumper crop of up-and-coming young talent, recent Olympic gold medal in London and two elite superteams in major media markets, one could easily argue that the NBA is in its best position since the mid-1990s when one Michael Jeffrey Jordan ruled the hardwood.
Not so, says an amusing hiccup from the New York Times obituary section's Twitter account. The Monday morning tweet, seen above, immediately led to a ripple of chuckles and bon mots from the ever-eager sports media Twitterati.
