However, with the introduction of Asynchronous JavaScript, it is now possible for the language to handle multiple tasks at the same time, without blocking the execution of the program. In addition to callbacks and promises, JavaScript also introduced the async and await keywords in ECMAScript 2017. The async keyword is used to define an asynchronous function, and the await keyword is used to pause the execution of the program until a promise is fulfilled. This makes the code look synchronous, even though it is executing asynchronously in the background.
