Hydraulic ram failure aboard ship "wasn't supposed to happen"

This morning, a hydraulic ram was supposed to open a large gate on a roll-on/roll-off ship in use by Britain's Ministry of Defense. The ram failed; the gate got stuck; an observer ably summarizeud the sitation. (via r/CatastrophicFailure)
