The robot hand learning the human joy of fidgeting

Researchers at Yale have taught a robot gripper how to fidget, so that one day it can handle objects just like a human hand would. The robot’s fingers bend freely without motor commands, allowing the robot hand to adapt in real time to small adjustments.
