Nestjs: java nostalgia?

From the surface, nestjs looks like a framework implemented to make it easier for people who like java to work in nodejs, for people who have been forced to move from java to node by their employer or market forces? I don't believe dependency injection, nor heavy use of oo, are common idioms in node packages?
