The late winter months are real "get rid of old inventory" hours for TV retailers looking to make room for the new year's models, which typically become available for preorder in March. And retailers clear house by cutting prices, of course.

Best Buy has one of the best deals we've seen on a 2021 TV: an 85-inch Samsung QLED TV for under $2,000. Save $700 and put it towards a soundbar, many of which are up to $300 off when paired with a TV at Best Buy.

An XL QLED TV at this price is impressive. But this isn't even Samsung's baseline QLED —it's the Q70, which is a step up. Compared to the Q60, the Q70 has a higher contrast ratio and better refresh rate (120Hz versus 60Hz). The sole pedestal stand holding up the Q70A (versus the standard two-leg design) is so chic, too.

All of Samsung's QLED TVs squeeze an extra quantum dot layer between the backlight and the LCD panel. The filter of tiny quantum dots creates more vibrant, more heavily saturated colors than you'd see on a regular LED TV, even if it's also 4K.
