There are over 195 countries in the world and seven continents such as Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America and Antarctica. Each country is different with its own history, architecture, struggles, culture and political identity. One thing that invariably is common amongst all countries is the use of money as a medium of exchange. All countries irrespective of whether they are small or big, landlocked or island-based, rich or poor, have a specific currency used for all monetary transactions. Discover the history, interesting facts and details about the most important currencies worldwide. How they were created, which are the banknotes and coins and what they are worth. You can see the table by the name of the currency or the name of the country. What money do you use depends on where are you living or planning to travel.
