AWS monthly wrap up - July 2021

Hi! I'm Helen, one of your AWS Heroes! At the end of each month, I'll be showcasing some of the great posts, projects, and insights from the AWS community right here on Dev.to.

To get us started we have Ricardo from the AWS team with a long read. Learn how to automate multiple architectures and deployment options for your containerised applications, integrating with ECS Anywhere to give you more options for where to deploy them.

Next, we have AWS Builder Sebastian and an esbuild tutorial. Check it out to see how we can accomplish blazingly fast builds for Typescript Serverless Framework projects, all while drastically reducing the configuration complexity compared with the alternatives.

Talha then shares how you can run localstack with Terraform and Docker. This post gives you a proof of concept you can tweak too.

Moving on to Valentine with a guide that covers all the steps needed for setting up a workflow for a Django project with Amazon Beanstalk and GitHub Actions under the hood.

This next post by Michael is all about using Amplify to take care of the heavy-lifting when it comes to setting up AWS services so we can focus on business logic.

Next, we have AWS Builder AJ who writes about separating infra from app logic. This will keep cognitive overhead per deployment low, limit your deployment blast radius, and cut down on that ever-important deployment time.

Our last post is from Ahmed with a review of The AWS Well-Architected Framework to help you understand the pros and cons of decisions you make while building systems on AWS.

That's all for this month! For more great posts check out the #aws tag and the AWS Heroes.
