Amazon's new Fire HD 10 Plus tablet sees its first discount for Prime Day save $70
Save $70: The new Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus tablet is on sale for the first time for Prime Day —get it for just over $100.
A luxe new member of Amazon's latest tablet release is officially on sale for the first time. Of course it's for Prime Day, and it's pretty major: nearly 40% off.
The Fire HD 10 Plus tablet has some of Amazon's most advanced tablet specs, gaining it love on the internet for being a sweet value. With the MSRP of the baseline iPad dropping eerily close to that of a tablet known for being budget-friendly like the Fire line, Amazon had to do some serious spec work. The HD 10 Plus adds more RAM to that of the regular 10 model (just 1 GB more, but still), as well as wireless charging. The 1080p display is brighter, adds a soft touch slate coating to the back's exterior, and should still get you 10 to 12 hours on one charge.

The biggest thing that remains unchanged — in a good way —is the Fire tablet's sheer flexibility. First and foremost, it's a stellar tablet for casual streaming. Even with the slight, more aesthetically pleasing design change, it's still more than sturdy enough to be roughed up by a child, and can seamlessly go from a kid's tablet to a parent's tablet. (It can also double as an Echo Show.)
Adding a detachable keyboard turns it into the perfect mini laptop for light professional use or Zoom calls. The Productivity Bundle throws in a Fintie keyboard and one-year Microsoft 365 subscription for a price bump, though the $70 Prime Day discount essentially pays for those extras.
